(No, Not That Kind of Wand)
Okay… so maybe calling it a magic wand was a little much.
But hear me out.
While sadly, waving your orange wand won’t conjure up a thin crocheted tube out of thin air (if only!), it will make wire crocheting slim, elegant cords a whole lot easier—and a lot more fun.
Let me introduce you to the I-Cord Knitter, the newest addition to the YoolaTool family.
So, What Is the I-Cord Knitter?
It’s a compact little tool designed to help you crochet thin, beautiful wire I-cords with improved grip and control.
Think of it as an upgraded version of the XS ISK Starter, redesigned to be more ergonomic—and yes, more adorable.
It comes in two parts:
A pumpkin-shaped base, where your cord begins
A slim, wand-like pole that helps guide your stitches with ease
P.S. Don’t they kind of look like a pumpkin and a magic wand?
And no... I haven’t been watching Cinderella lately. 😉But I do grow pumpkins in my vegetable garden, ha ha
& even have a pattern for a home decor pumpkin that you can DIY !
Created With a Touch of Tech (and Love)
This little helper was brought to life with my trusty 3D printer, which I absolutely love. It lets me bring new ideas to life quickly, test them, and refine them on the spot—what used to take weeks now takes hours.
Honestly, it’s hard not to call it magical.
And yes... I might be eyeing a Cricut machine next. Too much? Maybe. But imagine the possibilities!
Tech Specs
Pumpkin base: 0.78" x 0.78" x 0.78" (20 x 20 x 20 mm)
Wand: 2.9" long × 0.15" thick (75 mm × 4 mm)
Works best with 28-gauge wire (30-gauge may also work)
Recommended hook size: 0.75 mm (0.6 mm or 1 mm can work too, depending on your tension)
The result? A 4 mm wire I-cord in any length. It can be gently stretched to become thinner or flattened for different design styles.
